INFORMATION AND NEWSLETTERS

At DFX we believe communication is the key to your child’s success.  A newsletter will be mailed to you every two months in order to keep you informed of upcoming events.

Please make a habit of coming into the studio lobby on a regular basis, this will give you the opportunity to keep up to date on all news that is posted on the bulletin board only and not always available for our newsletters.

Newsletters are available on the “Downloads” page of this website.

SOLO SHOW

This showcase is usually held in March.  It gives all the studios soloists a chance to perform their routines before competition season begins.  Tickets are sold a couple weeks in advance and everyone is encouraged to come and support our dancers.

STAGE REHEARSALS

These rehearsals usually take place in March.  Their purpose is not only to prepare your child for the competition season, but also, to build their confidence on stage.  If you are involved in competitive groups, watch for your rehearsal times on the bulletin board and in the newsletters.

PICTURE WEEK

All groups that participate in the Year-End Recital will have the opportunity to have a photograph taken.  You may purchase these photos although you are not obligated to do so.  This week is a non instructional week and times for pictures will be forwarded to you in April.

RECITALL

DFX will put on its Year-End Recital late in May or early in June.  Everyone will be involved in Recital and will be responsible for a costume for each group they are involved in.

Students will attend a mandatory rehearsal and perform in the shows.  Please be advised that tickets sell fast as we have sold out many performances in the past.  To avoid disappointment be sure to purchase yours when they go on sale early in May.

We would like to thank you for bringing yourself and your child into our dance family.  We are very proud to share our passion with the young people of Wetaskiwin.  The memories and friends your children make will be some of the fondest of their lifetime.
